I haven't made any attempt to provide a comprehensive set of links for Turkey - the Turkey Travel Planner should allow you to find any further information you need. Many of the more general sites listed in the Overview of the Balkans are also useful for planning a trip to Turkey.

The experienced travel writer Tom Brosnahan has produced an excellent site with a wealth of reading. If you are planning a trip to Turkey that extends beyond a few days in Istanbul, this site will repay careful study. A particularly nice touch is the explanation of "how to decipher the TCDD web site".
